My name is Linda Miner.
I am NYC based dog trainer.
I was born and raised in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. I have a passion for supporting dogs and their owners to ensure the best quality of life.
While I've officially been in the pet business for thirteen years, I've been around dogs all my life and I wouldn’t have it any other way! Growing up my Aunt owned a Rottweiler named Rocky. We had a natural connection, no one could do any harm to me with him around. He was my protector and we had a special bond. My Uncle had a Siberian Husky named Milton and my Grandma had a Chihuahua named Princessa. Even at a young age I showed interest in caring for and training dogs.
My ultimate goal is to open up my own dog training and boarding facility. My resume includes experience in major pet stores including Petco and PetSmart. At Petco I learned the pros and cons of products and services for animals. I began my official training in PetSmart as an Area Trainer. One of my roles was to train all the dog trainers in my district before they were dispatched to their home store. After that I worked with a private company for dog modification and rehabilitation. All my experience has allowed me to hone in on my skills as a trainer to provide the best service to dogs and their owners.
My main goal is to help owners build a better relationship with their dog(s). I have several certifications including Pet First Aid and CPR, Animal Care and Handling, Pet Sitting, and Fostering and Adopting. Also as well as COVID certified. A member of the Pet Sitters International (PSI), Association of Professional Dog Trainers (APDT) and American Kennel Club Good Canine Citizen Evaluator And International Animal Canine Professional Dog Trainer (IACP)! We are INSURED & BONDED!
At home, I am a dog mom to Rex and Lando. Rex is a Siberian Husky who is eight years old. Lando is a Schnauzer Poodle mix who is six years old. Training these two to coexist was a challenge, yet wonderful learning experience. I've learned so much from both of my dogs that has pushed me to grow as an owner and trainer. As a dog owner and trainer I know the importance of clear communication in the relationship. My experience has allowed me to develop my personal philosophy on dog care and I have many happy clients who I remain in contact with. I am looking forward to helping many more families in the future.
